Yerevan, Downtown, Republic Square #2 française

The meeting point was fixed on Saturday morning, in order to clean those swastikas on Vernissage market, and near Barghamian Avenue. Another ones appeared, with same mention : “No Arabs”. A small blogging comitee gathered, no so later after another anti-rascist demonstrations, following a young Armenian murder in mysterious circumstances in Russia.

We spent an hour, scrapping off, spraying, scrapping off again, spraying again, with the support from Vernissage sellers, who were looking at us very actively.

Here is a picture reports, only in Vernissage. I didn’t had time to go to Baghramian Avenue (I’m working on Saturdays). Thanks to you all, and see you soon.

Thom, we went to Baghramyan str. later to clean the few more staswikas after. Little did we know we would find what seemed at a time the endless number of swastikas on both sides of Baghramyan str. I hope Myrthe will blog about it later, and A. has the photos. Btw, thanks for initiating this. Ciao.

There were a lot more swastika’s on Baghramian than we initially though. Unfortunately, I saw two new swastikas on Baghramina again this afternoon. They must be new as they were too big and obvious for us to miss on Saturday.

[...] Finally, after some of us cleaned off the swastikas daubed near Republic Square in October, Thomas Seropian at Follow The Way organized another cleanup on Saturday after the swastikas recently reappeared. He posts some photographs on his blog. All in all a productive and encouraging time for the Armenian Blogosphere. Hopefully we’ll have more of the same in the future. Posted by Onnik @ 5:28 pm.
