Greetings from Georgia :)

Hi there.
just arrived in Tbilissi for a few days vacations.
The city is really amazing.
Totally different from Yerevan, much more european indeed.
And people here seems crazzy.
I’m really looking forward to discover this culture a bit more in deep.

Will come back in Armenia in the end of the week :)

You missed a crazy party last night, the place was packed!

Unfortunately, even the Shamrock is nothing close to the two Irish pubs I know in Tbilisi which can be considered “pubs” in the accepted way in the U.K. instead of the Armenian model — an underground basement with some tables and chairs with only one beer on draft (and Gyumri at that) and some recorded Irish music with an Irish name to provide the only link to Ireland and a dartboard to make believe it’s a “pub.”

Don’t get me wrong, the Shamrock is a welcome addition, but it can be compared to those pubs I’ve drank at in Tbilisi. Still, as Thomas says, Tbilisi, Georgia and Georgians are more European in a lot of things compared to Armenia and Armenians. It’s why Bambir say they prefer the city over Yerevan, for example.

Anyway, as I said, Thomas, have a draught Guinness for me if you make it to the Dublin in central Tbilisi. When I was last there a few months ago the Guinness had run out and I had to make do with a draught Murphy’s instead. Anyway, enjoy.
